Relation Between Hindus and Muslims in India

Javed Akthar said that there is no divide between an average Hindu and an average Muslim in their way of thinking and living, and the whole idea of division on religious grounds is imposed upon the society.
“An average Muslim is just like an average Hindu. Every community would have its own sets of benign bisects that would enable them to like their own language, religion or community more than the others,”

“But an average Muslim would never want to kill someone because he is from a different religion just like an average Hindu won’t,”
he stressed.

Blaming the communalist powers for creating the divide, Akthar said the common man survives and flourishes in harmony while the communalist survives in chaos.

The poet also said radicalisation and Islamophobia are like a cycle where the rise of one helps in the increase of the other.

“The radicalisation and Islamophobia are parallel. They feed each other. The more the radicalisation, the more is Islamophobia. It is like a cycle. Also there isn’t much difference between extremism and terrorism. Extremism is mental terrorism and terrorism is extremist in action,” he said.

Talking about the rise in mistrust against the Muslims around the world, Akthar said, “The tragedy is the minority community is identified by the worst person of the community while the majority community is identified by the best person among them”.

“Would anyone in his wildest imagination, identify India’s large Hindu community with Nathuram Godse.

Obviously not. But the 17-18 crore Muslims in India are sometimes identified with Dawood Ibrahim. This is the example of radicalisation and stereotypes,” he added.

Controvercy in the Islamic histoy of 7th century Arabia

After the conquest of Mecca, Abu Sufyan fought as one of Prophet Muhammad's(pbuh)  commanders in the subsequent wars. During the Siege of Taif, he lost an eye.

When Muhammed died in 632, Abu Sufyan was in charge of Najran.

Abu Sufyan also fought in the Battle of Yarmouk in 636, in which he lost his second eye.

He played a very important role in the war, being the Naqeeb (chief of staff) of the Muslim army.

He fought under command of his son Yazid bin Abu Sufyan.
Abu Sufyan died at the age of ninety in 650 at Medina.

His kinsman Uthman Ibn Affan, who had become the third Caliph in 644, led the prayer over his grave.

Read the following Hadis and tell me how much the Messenger loved the Ansar

Did he love Abu sufian and family so much?

Who planned and killed the prophet's uncle Hamza and barbarically mutilated his body?

Volume 5, Book 58, Number 122:
Narrated Anas:

On the day of the Conquest of Mecca, when the Prophet had given (from the booty) the Quraish, the Ansar said,

"By Allah, this is indeed very strange: While our swords are still dribbling with the blood of Quraish, our war booty are distributed amongst them."

When this news reached the Prophet he called the Ansar and said,

"What is this news that has reached me from you?"
They used not to tell lies, so they replied,

"What has reached you is true."

The Prophet said,

"Doesn't it please you that the people take the booty to their homes and you take Allah's Apostle to your homes?

If the Ansar took their way through a valley or a mountain pass, I would take the Ansar's valley or a mountain pass.

There is a huge difference in Islamic history between the Meccan immigrants who sacrificed their life and properties for the sake of Islam ( same with the Ansars) and people like Abu Sufian who agreed to be converted after the victory over the Meccans at the 11th hour

We should keep the Shiah Sunny conflict away and think objectively and read more on history
